Congratulations on putting the card through doors but – Please tell me who you are? when did this website start? what is the reason for it? why hasn’t it mentioned VERY important parts to the Cheddleton Community? why the anonimity?

Hi Karen, we have only just put this site up. The reason in the past was for the Broadband for Cheddleton Campaign. We have mainly just restarted the site so that we can get feedback for the current maildrop. While we’re here we can create a community website. We are also looking for editors of the site.
What else would you like to see?

Hi Matt and who else is running this website in aid of cheddleton village, you are correct that there are not enough complaints being registered with the EPA. I myself have complained numerous times but i think some residents dont like to rock the boat so to speak or be a nuisance.

Hi Keith,
I have called on a few occasions and been told that nobody else has called. There have also been occasions where they knew exactly who I was calling about as they had received other calls.
I have asked the Environment Agency for statistics on the number of complaints. They are providing me with these… I’m just waiting for them to arrive.
We’ll see where this takes us.

Excellent idea .Many thanks for the card I have constantly reported any bad smell emanating from Pointons.Had long conversations with the Environment Agency.It is vital that we all complain when the smell is impinging on our everyday lives.If we do not compkain we are told that all is well.
I would like to see the minutes of the Pointons liaison commiittee put on this website.I have asked to see these minutes but so far have been unable to access them.
I also would think that it would be a good idea to publish the minutes of the Cheddleton Parish council on the website.Also the Parish council could put notices out which we could all access .At the moment we often find out about things long after the set date for comments etc, due to poor communication systems.

The reason we find things out late is not due to a poor communication system, its due to a corrupt council. How else can anyone explain a multistorey eyesore of a factory popping up overnight behind a large estate overlooking the canal without anyone hearing a thing in advance?
Quite frankly the level of corruption and bribery we’re talking about here needs an investigation.

I heard that the people in the estate were amazed that they were not consulted about that blue (then very quickly green) monstrosity. I also heard that they were/are suing the council as a group.
I was told that the council only consulted people on Station Road.
